Internships FAQ
What will I learn as an intern?
We’ve developed a unique set of teachings based around the science of Natural Hygiene, called the 7 Dynamics of Self. This understanding helps you achieve a sense of alignment and harmony that positively affects every aspect of your life, from health and vitality, to relationships and even being of service to your community.
Some aspects that we explore include: nonviolence, compassionate communication, functional fitness, species-appropriate diet and lifestyle, emotional awareness, minimalism, sustainability, self-sufficiency, barefooting, meditation, conservation and much more. You’ll have the opportunity to learn this philosophy and practice it daily, in real-time, with coaches and peers supporting you every step along the way.
Can I choose which project to work with?
Yes; let us know if you’ve got a particular area of interest. We’re looking for people who are excited to explore the world of wholistic wellbeing through participation in all our Haven Projects.
How long are internships?
There’s a two-month minimum stay with potential invitation for longer stays.
Do I have to live onsite?
Yes. All interns reside at Camp Haven in their choice of accommodations.
What does room and partial board consist of?
Rooming consists of a simple bedroom in our communal living space that you can customize to your liking. We also encourage camping outside in warmer weather.
We provide food in the form of unlimited* raw fruits and veggies from Haven Market, $10/week credit to spend at the Market on other food items and any produce grown onsite at Camp Haven.
*More expensive produce such as berries and figs have quantity limits.
Are there pre-requisites?
There are no specific pre-requisites, however, we determine eligibility during our interview process.
How can I tell if I’m a good fit?
Our interview process will determine whether or not you’re a good fit for our program. We’re not looking to be impressed by any particular skillset or credentials. Instead, we’re looking for people who are curious and passionate about life, willing to be both student and teacher, sharing info and learning from each other.
Our interns seek cooperation over competition and a more natural approach to diet and lifestyle. If this sounds like you, fill out the form above!
How do I apply?
Fill out the short form above and we’ll get back to you asap.
How will I be notified if accepted?
We’ll be in direct communication by phone and e-mail throughout the application process. Thank you for your interest!
